The meeting was held at the Silver Star and all members of the committee were in attendance. The Douglas Bader were the only team represented.

COMPETITIONS

The competitions registration day was a reasonable success but more entrants would have made for better competitions with more prize money to be won.

A three man challenge will commence on the 22nd of February. Prize money as follows £200 for first £100 for second £60 for third and £40 for fourth. The final and third and fourth place play offs will be on a home and away basis. At the start of the second leg matches a player form each team must be nominated to play a one game decider in the event of the match ending in a draw. Fixture lists for this event will be issued shortly. The singles and doubles events will be drawn and details issued at the beginning of March.

FIXTURES UPDATE

League tables enclosed and issued to the E.A.D.T. awaiting publication

MATTERS OF DEBATE

An e-mail was received from the Three Jolly Sailors thanking the committee for and I quote "the general standard in which the league is run" and "the helpful and polite response when using the hotline" also that the new rules enforced on teams failing to attend their matches "were an improvement and increased the overall commitment of teams" It is nice to have compliments instead of moans and groans.

Registration sheets will be issued with the March news letter and Registration day will be on the 1st of April with the league starting Sundays 13th of May, Wednesdays on the 16th of May and Thursdays on the 17th of May. Presentation night will be held on the 23rd of May. The Haven public house has applied to re-join the league. Following the pub's exclusion form the league it was decided to monitor the new landlady's efforts to change the image over the new season and decide on the subject at a later date.

A list of all county registered players will be issued to the league in due course. There was also a discussion on the attendance of Ipswich Independent League's committee attendance at the county meetings, this hopefully will be rectified in the new county season.
